Two professional bodies to audit gas explosion report

Two professional bodies, the Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA) and the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE), are to conduct independent audits into the investigative report on the gas explosion at Damasu Gas Limited, opposite Trade Fair Centre at La in Accra.

ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs.), the current Accra Central Divisional Commander courtesy calls on Management of NIB on Tuesday, 31st August 2016 at NIB’s Head Office in Accra. ACP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah is the former Commandant of the Ghana Police and Staff College in Winneba.

 

Accompanied by some Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah met with Mr. John Kweku Asamoah, CEO of NIB, General Manager of Operations & Technology and some other Heads of Department to inform the Bank of her new station; Accra Central. She acknowledged the existing cordial relationship between the Ghana Police Service and NIB. In appreciation of NIB’s sponsorships of several Police projects and other kind gestures, she assured the Bank of higher security measures they will put in place to aid the smooth running of NIB’s banking activities. She promised their availability to educate staff on security issues relating to their jobs and personal lives.

 

In response to ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Mr John Kweku Asamoah, CEO/MD of the Bank expressed gratitude to the courtesy call and further assured that the cordial relationship between the Police and the Bank can only be enhanced since the Bank will always offer assistance within its capacity to the Police Service whenever NIB is called upon.
